“My building was built in the 80’s” so I have no asbestos issues.

Potentially all buildings, no matter what year or type of business is carried out in them may have products that contain asbestos. Only three building materials were banned in the mid 70’s. Spray-on fire proofing, acoustical spray-on and ceiling panels.

The United States imports asbestos from Canada every year.

Regulatory asbestos verifications are different from country, state or county. In all developed countries, there is a legal obligation to manage asbestos in buildings. Everyone must take action.

Building and facility owners are required to determine the presence, location, and quantity of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) and/or Presumed Asbestos Containing Materials (PACM), assess the risk and develop a plan to manage that risk.
